Route description:
Starting from Great Westerford, we run up Dean Street and along Newlands Avenue. Down Paradise/M3 till we reach Fernwood for a scenic alternative route to Boshoff. We don't linger on Boshoff however, but follow Heath over to Riverside and then quickly on to Kirstenbosch Drive. Left onto Kirstenbosch eventually brings us to Bishopscourt Drive, which we soon leave behind at the junctions (instead of turning left to stay on Bishopscourt we continue straight onto Canterbury Drive. This leads us over the M63 towards Top Gate, where we stop for a water break, before following Rhodes Drive (M63) through a couple of curves till we reach Hohenort Avenue. Past Spilhaus, and later past Spilhaus again, we arrive at Alphen Drive. Past the Alphen Hotel we reach Constantia Main Road, past the M3, and head up Alphen Hill. Past Victoria Hospital, we veer into Wolfe Street to run past Maynardville (anyone want to brush up on their Shakespeare while we're there?). We then head straight, where the road becomes Aliwal, which leads directly to Main Road. Main Road leads us straight back to Great Westerford, making for a long but interesting route.
